The MYC methodology complements the modern medical Cancer treatments and is absolutely not intended to substitute any kind of medical Cancer treatment.

There is a dedicated part to the SCIENCE and hypothesis behind MYC on this website. The vast majority of the individual parts of the book are scientifically backed. 

As far as today, the book is available within the English language.

There is the intent to have the book translated in the French, Italian, German and Spanish language in the second half of 2025. The author is planning to start a fundraising campaign with the goal to collect sufficient capital to have the books translated within the above mentioned languages. Check the link here

The first publication of the MYC book end of 28th June 2024. This was almost than 6 years after the the author's cancer diagnosis. 

The research, discovery, set up, testing, writing, illustrations, cover design and website of the MYC methodology and book has taken Maarten circa 4 years.

The author has decided to self-publish the book. The main reason behind is to maintain the freedom and focus on his purpose and vision of the book.

The author is not a doctor, nor is he a psychologist. However, the author is a Stage 4 Metastatic cancer survivor. During his cancer journey, he began to realize something very important—the connection between physical health and mental health is undeniable. Our brains and our bodies work in masterful harmony to affect our overall well-being—but sometimes, that harmony needs a nudge to get back in tune. Read more about the author here

Maarten was diagnosed,at the age of 47, with a Stage 4 cancer (of the size of a small lemon) on the basis of his tongue which metastasized to both his lungs (18 metastases).

Maarten's treatment plan included Surgery, Radio Therapy, Chemo Therapy and Immunotherapy.

When the metastases were discovered (June 2019), life expectancy and prognosis provided by the medical establishment was of circa 2 months.

Maarten was initially diagnosed in 2018 and is in remission ("Cancer Free") September 2019. 

Maarten lives with his family in Geneve (Switzerland) where he continues to work full time as Business Development Manager for his employer, Oracle Corporation.

From a pure technical point of view - the answer would lean towards a yes. However, as we know, we must not forget that there are many different types of Cancers (>100 types).
