About The MYC - Challenge
Why this challenge ?
The goal of this one time only MYC - Challenge will be to
1) promote the MYC Methodology at Hospitals within the Swiss Federation and surrounding countries. Directly present MYC to the staff of the oncology department and their cancer patients.
2) promote the MYC Methodology within the main cities via leafletting and temporary pop-up stand to be placed on the city squares or by a hospital.
3) to collect necessary funds to have the Book translated within additional languages, being: French, German, Italian and the Spanish language.
How will MYC Challenge be organised ?
Everything still needs to be organised. However, the idea is to plan a route through the Swiss Federation and to cycle this route from Hospital to Hospital with the goal to reach as many Hospitals and cantons as possible during the one month challenge period. The intent is to evaluate also the possibility to extend the route directly cross border (e.g. France, Italy, Germany)
What kind of equipment will be used ?
I will use an e-Bike capable to cycle and tow a bicycle caravan, which will be used to transport the necessary promotional material and to function as my mobile sleeping place for the period of the challenge.
You can Help ! Here is how...
There are many different ways you can help me with this challenge, here are a few of them:
- I will need sufficient sponsors to fund the necessary equipment (Bicycle, Caravan and material). Purchase or Renting the equipment are options which can be considered.
- I would love to have somebody helping me with the full organization of the challenge (Logistics, Sponsors, Planning etc..)
- Your support would be very welcome for helping me with the execution of presentations, leafletting and promoting the MYC methodology. For example, if you live in Zurich, you could assist me just at the local event planned in Zurich.
- I will have to plan the route and spend the nights within the caravan. If you have a place (e.g. garden, drive way or similar) where I could park the caravan, recharge the device batteries, have a shower etc... then that would be highly appreciated.
- If you know people within your network capable to facilitate or mediate with a local hospital, then that would be obviously also fantastic.
- If you would like to ride and cycle with me a part of the challenge, then you are welcome and this can be organised as it will be a nice and fun experience too.
When would the challenge take place ?
The current tentative start date is June 7th, 2025.
The challenge should last 1 month and is subject to my availability.
